A Church Organ Tribute to Michael Jackson
Over the last few days, homage has been paid to Michael Jackson in many ways, from sculpting him in butter to naming one’s Ukrainian village after him. Yet none of these tributes possess the grandeur of this church organ medley of Mr. Jackson’s hits, performed by Robert Ridgell on Sunday at the conclusion of worship services at the Trinity Wall Street church.

Jos van der Kooy, the famous Haarlem city organist, plays the recently renovated Cavaillé Coll Organ in the Philharmonie in Haarlem. The programme is a mixture of the familiar as well as the not so well known French and Dutch music from the 19th and 20th centuries. Typically Jos van der Kooy includes an improvisation to end this well constructed programme
